Where the land already had its own rhythm, the architecture chose to listen.

Spread across five acres in the foothills of Uttarakhand, this 22,000 sq ft residence unfolds horizontally — stepping, turning, and pausing so that every existing tree stays exactly where it stood. The plan reads less like a single house and more like a private resort, each volume opening onto its own pocket of green.

Indoors, the language stays earthen and honest. Kadapa stone grounds the floors in a quiet grey; timber ceilings warm the rooms from above; and full-height glazing lets filtered light, the orchard, and the distant ranges do most of the decorating.

The modern expanse, redefined — not as scale for its own sake, but as room to breathe.
